The Nickel Stone House Vacation Rental

The house

Nickel Stone House is a historic home located in the heart of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.  The home is a historic house built in 1927 by a CPR manager and is constructed from Sudbury Basin footwall rocks. At the time, this was the only house built in the area so it is positioned diagonally on the property and looks out onto a lower area that is now built up.  The house is built directly on the rocks and has a unique yard that includes a series of beautiful outcrops.  The basement walls are actual outcrop on the northeast and southeast corners while the garage is located under the front yard.

The owner is an exploration geologist who loves the home and is excited to share this special place with friends, family, and out of town visitors to the area.   The current owner is only the third family to own the home and has taken great pride in caring and restoring the house.
