the house

The house is designed to accommodate visitors who are looking to stay in a comfortable environment with all the amenities of home.  The Nickel Stone House features a newly renovated kitchen (stainless steel appliances), an open concept living room with beautiful wood burning fireplace, upgraded bathrooms and five bedrooms that have at least one double or queen bed, a desk, television and plenty of space to relax and unwind.   The Nickel Stone House features original radiators (with upgraded boiler system), baseboards and stonework, original hardwood flooring, and additional features such a glass doorknobs and tall ceilings.

The newly renovated and updated kitchen was designed for entertaining large groups of people.  The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances consisting of double ovens, gas stovetop with vent, beverage center and wine cooler, dishwasher, fridge with ice maker and water dispenser as well as a 42” television, granite countertops, heated flooring and a breakfast bar at the island.   

The living room is partially open to the kitchen and has a beautiful wood burning, stone fireplace, a 50” television, and is open to a dining area traditionally thought of as the library. 

The five bedrooms are spacious, have at least one double or queen bed, a desk, 32” television with an extensive cable package, and plenty of space to relax and unwind. 

The bathrooms have been upgraded with the main floor bathroom featuring a clawfoot tub and the upstairs bathroom having two rooms, the first with double sinks and new, high end laundry facilities and the second room containing a shower for two people and separate toilet and sink. All bathrooms have heated flooring and all upgraded amenities.  There is a second set of laundry machines in the basement that can be used as overflow washing facilities. 

 


the neighborhood

The house is nestled in the heart of Sudbury and is walking distance to the downtown shopping and dining district, which includes a variety of restaurants and bars.  The house is also located close to the city’s new and upcoming Donovan strip.  The grocery and liquor stores are also walking distance or less than a 5-minute drive.   The centralized location of the home is less than 15 minutes from most neighborhoods in Sudbury.  There is also a corner store within a 5 minute walk of the house.

The house has two parking spots and taxi rides are typically 5 to 15 minutes away from all areas of Sudbury.  Public transportation in Sudbury is by bus with the nearest bus stop being a 5-minute walk and a 10-minute walk to the main bus terminal that provides easy access to all areas of the city.  The house is located about 45 minutes from the Sudbury Airport and about 15 minutes from all major highways entering the city of Sudbury.
